Inspirations

Please describe a role model in education or coaching that has been inspirational to you. Going off of class today, are there any teaching behaviors they really set forward? What do you want to take from them and use as being your own teacher/coach?

To the left is a picture of my fast pitch softball coach Joe Cataldo. He brought an expertise to the game
that made me and my teammates really respect him. His experience playing semi-pro ball and his enthusiasm not only for our performance but for the game is something that always stuck with me. As a coach now, I try to teach my girls fundamentals and always be extremely excited about their progress and our team as a whole.

To the right is my travel hockey team. Down at the bottom of the picture is my coach Ovila Vautour. He also played hockey up in Canada and knew the game very well. More than that, he coached with his heart and really cared about all of his players. When we didn't want to play well for ourselves, we played well for him. I strive to have that bond with my athletes as well.
